Meet the SpaGirls (and Boy) behind ArizonaSpaGirls.com.
Lisa first discovered her passion for spas when she visited a Phoenix resort spa as a reprieve from her stressful career as technical documentation consultant. Struck by how much her whole body and attitude lightened up after just that one visit, she developed the website as a way to share useful information with an audience much like herself -- women in serious need of a spa time-out. She has since has developed spa guides for the Arizona Office of Tourism and for The Arizona Republic's YES magazine. She has served as the spa editor for Item magazine, beauty editor for East West magazine, and is a regular beauty columnist and features writer for several Phoenix-based and national publications including Healing Lifestyles & Spas magazine. A local on-air personality who appears regularly on the ABC Phoenix affiliate show Sonoran Living, she was named among the coolest people in the Valley of the Sun by Phoenix Magazine in 2008 for her work as the "Spastress." Her first book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Girlfriend Getaways (Alpha, 2009) is available at Amazon and other top bookstores. More on Lisa.
Also known as the "Spa Boy," Chaz is a self-made computer virtuoso who has spent most of his career deep in the trenches of ever-changing field of technology. A business owner and entrepreneur for more than 20 years, he ran a tech support company and was a pioneer in the photo CD business (back in the day!) among other things. His expertise ranges from high-level website and applications development to search engine optimization. In other words, he's super smart.
In hot pursuit of a communications and business degree from Arizona State, Carolyn came aboard the Arizona SpaGirls ship as an intern and has since joined the crew as an official SpaGirl. Also a native to Arizona, she plays the field between writing spa reviews, assisting with marketing and press campaigns and training new interns. Like the rest of us, she's an animal lover and spends her spare time with sidekick Maley, a spunky West Highland Terrier.
